ASPService provides software applications for Hedge Fund Portfolio Managers that help them manage and grow their business as well as manage their portfolios.  Our applications manage all aspects of their businesses, outside of trade executions.  That said, our applications can be integrated with open APIs of trading platforms to provide real-time trade information capture. 

The Opportunity

ASPService saw an opportunity to serve fund managers who don’t have the time or finances to design their own portfolio management solution.  Traditionally, fund managers could not consider their own solution until their business had reached critical mass, typically around $500 million in AUM, due to the time constraints and daunting financial commitment involved. 

Our Focus

ASPService’s focus is to help fund managers whose needs are not met by manual processes using complicated spreadsheets or inflexible outsourced solutions that provide rudimentary portfolio and risk management functionality.  It is not surprising that Excel spreadsheets remain the tool of choice for the vast majority of small fund managers due to their flexibility and the lack of alternatives that address their needs.

Today, as the industry grows and matures, it is becoming increasingly more difficult and costly for funds of all sizes to run their businesses the same old way.  Investment strategies become more complex in pursuit of alpha and institutional investors demand more transparency and robust risk management.  Even funds with in-house systems find this increasing complexity is draining their resources as their in-house systems require ongoing enhancements to stay relevant. 

Our Solutions

ASPService currently has two highly customizable platforms to meet the needs of these frustrated fund managers, our PIPEManager solution and our Long/ShortManager solution.
